The Cost Of Drink Driving To The Drivers

I am hoping that by writing this article that it may stop a great deal of people from drink driving. Despite numerous government campaigns to highlight the dangers of drink driving many drivers continue to do it. Things have to change and in this article I am going to be writing about how the drink drivers themselves could be affected after being convicted of such a crime.

Drink drivers are seen as the scum of society. What therefore do you think your friends, family and work colleagues will think of you after they hear that you have been caught over the limit? Some may well offer you support in your hour of need. Deep down they will see you as a loser as there is no excuse for driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

The courts also take a dim view of people who drink and drive. People are often banned from driving for at least twelve months, are fined and have points added to their licence. In the worst cases a custodial sentence can be given.

If a person or people are killed due to your drink driving then a custodial sentence is the likely outcome. More importantly you will have to live with the knowledge that you have killed, due to your own stupidity, for the rest of your life. This is like a life sentence of its own and is not something that I would like on my conscience.

We are living in 2008; not 1978; so come on people start using your brains and leave the car at home. There are plenty of taxis which are more than willing to give you a lift home.

The advent of Web 2.0 has transformed the online marketing landscape dramatically. Small and medium-sized businesses can now compete on a level playing field with industry giants like Unilever or websites such as MySpace.

With Web 2.0 you can market your products on social networking sites and blogs at very little cost, while the new technology also allows you to monitor customer trends and measure results.

One of the oldest and most traditional methods of Web 2.0 marketing is targeted advertising on search engines. With this method you can have your ad listed on the search results page or appear within an article on a subject related to your product. These are generally paid for per click, but you can be guaranteed each click will bring a new visit to your site.

A much more recent phenomenon is the use of social networking websites to market products. This method is used by everyone from one man operations to multi-national corporations. A page on MySpace or FaceBook can boost the popularity of your product, but be sure to keep the content fresh and updated. Also, you will generally have a young audience here so the content should reflect this.

Blogs offer similar opportunities for Web 2.0 marketing. This is an inexpensive way to subtly market your product or service on the web. However, good content that is updated regularly is essential. Just talking about your products will drive visitors away. Your blog entries will have to be interesting, informative and well written.

If you feel you have the resources and talents in your organization to make interesting audio snippets, you could try podcasting. Again, you will need to provide something that listeners will want to hear, while promoting your product. For example, if you sell cars or car parts you could produce a podcast on car care tips.

Basically, you'll want to get news and references to your business out there in as many ways as possible. Web 2.0 allows you to send news and press releases direct to the consumer. For example you could offer a RSS feed on your website, or submit search engine optimized press releases to online news sites.

The real beauty of Web 2.0 marketing is that it can be cheap to do. Not all of the options described above might be suitable to market your business, but a simple blog or MySpace page will cost you very little.

Child pornography is a growing concern of civilized society. Though there are no accurate numbers regarding the children directly and indirectly involved in child pornography, with estimates varying widely from a few thousands to hundreds of thousands, the spread of Internet use and the availability of high-tech spy cams in the civilian market have spurred on its seemingly relentless advance into the fabric of society.

Definition of Child Pornography

Depending on where you live, child pornography can have many definitions. However, you only need to remember that child pornography is generally described as any pornographic material that shows children being sexually abused.

When you see children depicted as sex objects in the nude or semi-nude, shown in explicit and implicit sexual poses, and engaged in sexual intercourse of any kind, then you are seeing child pornography at its worst. Whether you see them in confiscated spy cams or on still pictures, you have to report the crime.

Criminal Offense

Even the simple possession and distribution of materials related to child pornography is punishable under federal and state laws. For actual perpetrators and accomplices of the sexual abuse, then jail time is expected to be longer and the penalties to be higher.

This will pose a little problem for you when you are in unwitting possession of video-recording capable spy cams that are subsequently shown to contain child pornography. However, you have the defense that punishable possession implies full knowledge of the materials with intent to use them for personal pleasure and/or for distribution to like-minded individuals.

Thus, if you stumble on spy cams, or any other camera, for that matter, surrender them to government authorities as soon as you possibly can, lest you be charged with being a perverted criminal. You might even save a child's life in the process.

Penalties and Jail Time

Depending on the state where you live in, penalties and jail time for child sex offenders and abusers vary. If you are party to catching these criminals, you can expect to see them punished with both criminal and civil penalties.

Criminal punishments include, but are not limited to, imprisonment in a state or federal prison, monetary fines, inclusion in an international list of sex offenders, and restrictions/revocations of parole and probation.

Civil penalties include payments for all types of damages (nominal, emotional, etc.), injunctions, and the revocation of parental rights. Indeed, society makes child sex offenders pay for their crimes, and you can play a role in it.

A Marriage of Crime and Technology

There are many marriages of crime and technology - bank robberies and transfers, Internet scams and schemes, to name a few - but the use of spy cams and the subsequent broadcast of its contents are the most horrendous of all these.

If you are unfortunate to come across child pornography in the Internet, you will be outraged and horrified about this terrible crime against our children. And the sad fact is that these children might be your own children were it nor for a twist of fate!

Indeed, spy cams have their useful and moral purposes. But like any other product of the human mind, these are also subject to the perverted minds among us. You can help fight this horrible, horrible crime. Do your part now.

Spy cameras can be used in the worst ways. Indeed, hidden spy cams are used for criminal activities, in sharp contrast to your purposes. To be informed on the real uses of spy cams, visit Video-Surveillance-Guide.com for their definitive guides on spy cameras.

Sometimes when you do a search on the internet, you may get frustrated that your search results always contain the words or websites that you do not want.

A quick and useful way to omit words in your results would be to use the minus (-) sign in your search query.

If you do not want certain words to appear in your results, you can type in the search engine field, for example:

"tourist attractions in city Z -ferris wheel"

It works even for websites:

"tourist attractions in city Z -xyz.com "

Or

"technical help -abc" (where abc is the company name)

Similarly, if you would like to include certain words in your results, you can type, for example:

"tourist attractions in city Z +bus tours"

If you want results from a certain website or company, you can type:

"tourist attractions in city Z +xyz.com"

Or

"technical help +abc"

A word of caution though, it may not work for everything (depending on your search query; whether the omission or inclusion of your words is possible) and also not at every search engine.

Major search engines like Google, Yahoo!, Ask.com, Lycos and AltaVista currently do support this feature.

In addition, if you want your results to include only certain words or websites; most of the time, search engines would already display them on the first page with regards to priority/relevance, subsequent pages would then present results without those words or from other websites other than the one you have specified.

Make Money From Home Quickly

When you need to make extra money you need it now not two months from now. I will review the top 3 ways to make money from home quickly. Making money from home is a popular interest. However, most who try fail. Why? Most of the information online is misleading. Many people are lured into money making hype by MLM, Direct Sales and Money schemes. What I am offering is straight forward and easy. The cost to get started is minimal and the income potential is enormous! Let's get started:

1) eBay is free to join and the cost to list items for sale is inexpensive. If you need to make a quick $200 bucks this can be accomplished by going through your old, unwanted stuff at home and selling it on e-bay. The things that sell well are antiques, artwork, clothing and electronics. Go through your stuff and do some searches in eBay to see the going prices. Structure your ad and prices with similar products. Remember, pictures and detailed descriptions will add value to your product no matter what you are selling.

2) Craigslist has made many millionaires and is the essence of making money from home quickly. The traffic this site gets is huge. By placing a classified ad in the appropriate category almost guarantees immediate exposure. The key to selling on Craigslist is not being too detailed and aiming your ad to just get the prospect to click on your link. Just like eBay include a picture to build interest. Get the prospect to click on your affiliate link and 90% of the job is done. The sky's the limit on what sells on Craigslist. Remember to target your ad to the right audience, spell check your ads and build interest and a sense of urgency. Using humor and negative outcomes are best. Tell someone how to avoid a negative outcome and you'll get the click.

3) Clickbank is the number one online resource to sell digital products that other people design. It is totally possible to sign-up for a free Clickbank membership, build some links, post some ads and be cash positive in a few hours if not minutes. I've placed ads for some products and within 30 minutes I've had a sale! When you make up to 75% on each sale it is very possible to just sell Clickbank products and make $50,000 or more each year with minimal effort.

Making money from home quickly can be easy. It can also be hard if you follow the herd and jump on the next best thing. If you follow these three steps, determine your needs you can make money. Review your resources, write out your goals and set a deadline. If you stick to your goals and learn as you go you will see profits.
